MoMu shows are always amazing and this one sounds especially interesting. Definitely on my list.
Copyright Art & Architecture Bookshop is one of my favorite places in Antwerp. Filled with an amazing selection of art and architecture books, and the best publications on fashion, graphic design, and photography, Copyright is also nicely designed and inviting.
It is located at Nationalestraat 28a, next door to the ModeMuseum.
Beauty of precision: I have admired the incredible work of Berlin-based photographer Frank Huelsboemer for a few years. The simplicity and beautiful composition of his photographs is captivating. I was happy to see that a collection of his work, The Fiction of Science, was recently published by Gestalten.
“The accompanying texts in the book illuminate the theoretical background and artistic approach of a photographic aesthetic that, despite its minimalistic strength and quasi-scientific precision, shines with exceptional depth and creates an outstanding poetic visuality.” – more about the book on the Gestalten site here.
A great loss to modern culture. McQueen was a true visionary, a designer of clothes and emotions. His fashion shows – an art, provocative and beautifully strange. Unforgettable.
